Introduction
The Tolerance Cricket Cup is an initiative led by H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, that aims to showcase the UAE as a leader in tolerance and promote this value through a friendly sports event. The cup is designed to engage and create lasting memories with the majority of the workforce communities from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. By bringing together people from different cultural backgrounds through the shared experience of cricket, the Tolerance Cricket Cup seeks to foster a sense of unity and understanding among the participating communities.
Description
The Ministry of Tolerance places a high value on the message of inclusion and the promotion of active participation from all sectors of the UAE’s diverse community. The Tolerance Cricket Cup is a way to celebrate the significant contributions of the workers’ community to the development of the UAE across all seven emirates. The unique tournament, which began on October 4th with 16 teams comprising players from over 20 countries, is sure to culminate in an exciting final match. By highlighting the importance of inclusion and participation, the Tolerance Cricket Cup hopes to promote a more cohesive and harmonious society in the UAE.
